Full Job Description Job Overview :

This position is responsible for driving teams to games and working closely with the Athletic Department to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all vans and buses used for team transport. The role involves both driving duties and vehicle maintenance, with a schedule of 24-28 hours per week, mainly in the afternoons and evenings on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Key Responsibilities :
Daily:

Fuel vehicles as needed for game-day and other team transportation. Safely drive the bus or van on busy game days, ensuring punctuality and safety. Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and address any immediate cleaning needs. Maintain and organize Van Care Kits (including first aid, cleaning supplies, etc.).

Weekly:

Perform routine checks of vehicle fluids, including washer fluid, oil, and other essential systems. Inspect tire pressure and wear, ensuring proper condition for safe operation. Wash the vehicles to maintain a clean and professional appearance. Vacuum, clean, and disinfect vehicle interiors. Address minor interior issues, such as fixing loose trim or other small maintenance tasks. Perform inspections to identify potential maintenance issues or concerns before they become critical and report them to the Athletic Department.

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL with passenger credential required). Ability to safely operate large vehicles, including buses and vans. Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and ability to perform minor repairs. Strong attention to detail and organization skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with team members and the Athletic Department. Ability to lift and carry equipment, cleaning supplies, and tools as necessary.
