In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on various vehicles, including tractor-trailers, piggyback forklifts, and knuckle boom cranes at customer locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and the ability to work independently in a mobile environment. Your expertise in vehicle maintenance and repair will ensure that our customers receive top-notch service. Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and cranes, including air brake systems, hydraulics, and other essential components. Utilize power tools and equipment to perform repairs efficiently and safely. Weld and solder components as necessary to ensure proper functionality. Assemble parts and systems according to OEM specifications. Diagnose issues with vehicles and provide effective solutions in a timely manner. Perform heavy lifting as required during the repair process. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used during repairs. Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle’s condition and necessary repairs. Qualifications Proven experience in vehicle/crane maintenance or as a service technician, preferably with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles and knuckle boom cranes. Proficient in using power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices. Strong understanding of air brake systems and vehicle assembly processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred. Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet customer needs.
