Shop Manager Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Tire and Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. This role focuses on providing essential maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid top-offs. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and a passion for delivering excellent service to customers.
Key Responsibilities Fluid Services:
Perform oil and filter changes, transmission flushes, coolant top-offs, and other fluid services.
Tire Services:
Rotate, mount, repair, and balance tires with precision and care.
Vehicle Inspections:
Conduct multi-point inspections to identify safety concerns or future service needs.
Customer Communication:
Interact with customers to explain findings, recommend services, and provide accurate estimates.
Shop Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace; properly handle tools and dispose of materials.
Support Tasks:
Assist other technicians with minor repairs and replace minor components like wiper blades and air filters.
Qualifications Mechanical Aptitude:
Basic understanding of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures.
Tool Proficiency:
Comfortable using hand tools, tire machines, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Customer Service Skills:
Able to communicate effectively with customers and teammates.
Problem-Solving Abilities:
Quick thinker who can identify and address minor vehicle issues efficiently.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
