We are currently seeking a skilled Junior Fleet Mechanic to join our team in Venice, Fl. A successful candidate will bring a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent communication skills, eagerness to move into a higher-level position, and experience in a manufacturing plant. SD SHIFT

• 3rd Shift
• M-F•8pm to 6:30am Responsibilities
  form Repair and assist with all Fleet Mechanics.

PM services
Vehicle component replacement under Sr. technician’s supervision
Electrical system and lighting repairs
Cooling system maintenance
Perform basic diagnostics
Assist mechanics with tractor and trailer repairs
Assist with tire repairs and perform tire replacements
Drive forklifts and non-CDL company vehicles
Understand and adhere to all safety standards
Keep shop and personal work area clean and organized
Perform all other duties as assigned
Provide excellent Customer Service
Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a positive attitude and willingness to grow in position
Must be willing to attend appropriate training sessions
Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team
Must possess a set of basic hand tools and be able to purchase additional hand tools as needed
Must be willing and able to drive a service vehicle to where a customer is having a problem and be able to perform light mechanical service as needed.
Working knowledge in the use of hand tools required
Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems
Must possess a mechanical aptitude
A valid drivers license is required with minimal violations as required by PGT drivers policies and be able to at least pull trucks in/out of shop safely.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE

1-2 years of automotive or diesel experience preferred
Vocational or Technical certification preferred
Good oral and written communication ability
Class “A” CDL
