Are you ready to join a family-owned and operated trailer repair center? Fleet Repair Solutions in Morrow, GA, is seeking a full-time Assistant Operations Manager to support our day-to-day operations. This role is crucial in ensuring high department performance, customer satisfaction, employee morale, and profitability.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
Review and manage work orders, estimates, and invoices to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Maintain and monitor company and subordinate efficiencies. Ensure compliance with safety standards for employees, customers, and visitors. Interview, hire, and train new employees as needed. Respond to emails, telephone calls, and other communications with urgency and professionalism. Serve as an on-call Manager when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned to support overall operations.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Associate Degree or higher with a minimum of 2 years of heavy-duty tractor-trailer repair experience. High School Diploma with at least 5 years of experience in heavy-duty tractor-trailer repair.
Position Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Assistant Operations Manager is to support the Operations Manager in maintaining high department performance, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction, employee retention, and maximized profitability. This role involves supervising, motivating, and assisting the technician staff.
Key functions include:
Billing out work performed on Repair Orders. Dispatching work to technicians and monitoring shop productivity. Assisting technicians with repairs when needed. Following up on work/repair progress. Coordinating parts orders with the parts department. Communicating effectively with leadership, employees, customers, and affiliates. Upholding the company’s standards of quality and safety.
