GENERAL PURPOSE

Performs advanced mechanical breakdownand preventive maintenance (PM) that includes inspection, repair,and revision of complex/sophisticated plant machinery/mechanismsand manufacturing equipment. Enhances/improves machine utilizationto ensure process repeatability, uptime and reduce change over andset-up times. Performs breakdown maintenance by troubleshooting,repairing and documenting. Partners with management, engineeringand vendors regarding new machinery/equipment selection,specifications, set-up and operator training. May act in a leadcapacity and provide direction to other employees. Schedule is 10pm- 6:30am but can be flexible on start and end times for the rightcandidate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Actively participates andcontributes to machine and process design and improvements.

Actively supports all environmental and recycling efforts includingthe disposal of hazardous materials. Performs installation of,makes alterations to, and rebuilds plant machinery andmanufacturing equipment. Recommends and is involved in systems andmachine modifications with management and engineering. Recommendsspare parts for inventory to provide equipment reliability.

Required to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Works with Engineering, Production, and Quality to insure effectiveand timely machine changeovers and set-ups. Adheres to allcorporate and department safety guidelines and procedures. Attendssafety training classes to keep current. Aids in the design,assembly, and/or fabrication of all types of equipment and specialmachines. Contributes to plant layout to facilitate the moves,relocation, and installation of plant machinery and manufacturingequipment. Documents repair, set-ups, maintenance, PM and safetyprocedures to ensure equipment reliability, quality control andimprove overall operation of equipment. Inspects, adjusts,programs, and repairs machinery/mechanisms and equipment accordingto work assigned. Responsible for mechanical, hydraulic andpneumatic work on equipment. Ensures the working area, tools andequipment are maintained in a clean, organized and safe manner.

Performs additional responsibilities as requested.

Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent educationrequired. Licenses and Certifications Must have a valid driver’slicense. Ability to obtain a forklift, aerial platform or otherequipment operator’s license. Skills and Abilities Familiar withmachine control systems including air logic, relay logic,computerized numerical control (CNC) and programmable logic control(PLC). Who We Hire?
