Job Description

Master (Senior) Automotive Technician JD  Under minimal supervision the Senior Automotive Technician, creates, performs, and oversees?all?processes necessary?to inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical?and?cosmetic?defects?on?fleet vehicles following?

Flexcar?policies?and?procedures. This position will train new technicians in Flexcar processes, and oversee all shop operations and repairs.  What you’ll love about this role: Being a core member of the site team – our customer safety depends on you!  Being part of an automotive company that recognizes talent – where you can make a difference.    We are growing quickly – which means your career can grow quickly with us too!   What you’ll do: Inspect, recondition and repair vehicles to ensure Flexcar customers receive a quality vehicle that allows them to feel safe for the duration of their time as a customer. Works with and leads team of technicians to problem solve and meet challenging deadlines. Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles accurately with work quality that exceeds customer expectations. Perform advanced diagnostic and repair work accurately according to daily work orders as received from any manager including: emission control systems, throttle body systems, fuel injection systems, electrical problems (both complex and minor), ignition, and mechanical problems, anti-lock brake systems, cruise control, all non-computerized parts, drivability problems, on-board computer problems, transmission work, A/C systems; and four wheel drive internal components. Observes and follows all necessary safety regulations when operating machinery, equipment and tools. Identify, order, and maintain correct supplies and parts in order to properly service vehicles. Understand how to properly use hand tools, chemicals, and all shop equipment. Follow Flexcar standard operating procedures at all times. Keep workplace free and clear of hazards, according to 5S standards. Review work orders for accuracy of work performed and parts installed. Use of computers, including internal and external technology systems in order to complete daily assignments. Assist in onboarding other new associates by passing along knowledge and being a good team player. Provide support to other associates and managers as needed. Perform all work within standardized cycle times What drives success for this role:  Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and/or holidays. Willingness to work in varying weather conditions. Ability to carry tools and supplies up to 75lbs. Ability to use Excel and other technology solutions to drive the business. Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record (per company standards) 5+ years of automotive repair experience is preferred. Master L1 Technician ASE Certification is preferred.  At least 18 years old What tops off the tank:    Rest & Relax!
