The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to perform installations and repairs on various vehicles. This role requires hands-on experience with power tools and hand tools, as well as the capability to handle heavy lifting. The Installation Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and are ready for customer use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install a variety of aftermarket products, including but not limited to lighting systems, communication equipment, storage solutions, and safety features, in work trucks and emergency vehicles.
• Read and interpret installation manuals, schematics, and diagrams to ensure proper installation of products.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all installations meet company standards and client specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Document and report any issues or discrepancies encountered during installation.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific needs and provide exceptional customer service.
• Keep up to date with new products and installation techniques through continuous learning and training.
• Travel to various client locations to perform installations and provide support as needed.

Requirements Proven experience in automotive repair, vehicle maintenance, or related fields. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems. Proficiency in using various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations and repairs. Experience in auto body repair or auto restoration is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and customers.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in vehicle installation or a related field.
• Strong mechanical and 12v vehicle electrical system skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools as required.
• Willingness and ability to travel to client locations.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 and NetSuite for maintaining records pertaining to installation work.
