This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about cars and thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The Automotive Lighting Technician will install and build custom automotive lighting products, assist with technical support and quality control, and work directly with 12V systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and ready to grow their skills alongside an industry leader. Key Responsibilities Install automotive lighting products, including LED headlights, halo kits, DRLs, underglow systems, interior lighting, and other custom lighting solutions Build and assemble custom automotive lighting products, including headlights, tail lights, and fog lights Work with R D Team to test fit new products and share relevant feedback to help bring the best possible product to market. Support the customer service team by assisting with technical support questions via CRM platforms and phone calls Participate in in-house product testing, quality control, and provide performance feedback to the R D team Test, troubleshoot, and ensure functionality of 12V lighting systems Accurately follow work orders and ensure all necessary materials are pulled prior to builds Meet production timelines without compromising product quality Collaborate with front office staff to provide technical input on scheduling installations Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces Conduct final quality inspections on all completed builds LMA – Lead, manage and hold accountable new departmental hires Attend events as the “expert” advisor for product technical knowledge Required Qualifications Experience with automotive lighting, electronics, or 12V systems preferred Soldering experience required Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office applications Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for long periods of time Must be comfortable climbing, reaching, and balancing while working on vehicles Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Preferred Qualifications Automotive technical training or certifications Prior experience in a manufacturing or custom automotive shop environment Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Fast-paced production environment Requires physical activity including lifting, standing, and working around vehicles On-site position at our Metairie, LA headquarters Success Metrics 98% or higher accuracy rate on custom builds (no reworks or QC failures) 100% of builds passing final inspection on the first attempt Timely and accurate resolution of technical support inquiries within 1 business day Positive feedback from internal team and customers regarding install quality and product performance (as applicable) 100% adherence to work order instructions and material checklists Zero safety violations; consistently maintains a clean and organized workspace Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork by assisting peers and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
