Lube Technician Baldwin Subaru 1730 N Hwy 190, Covington, LA 70433 Summary Assists with tasks related directly or indirectly to performing basic service and light repairs on vehicles and supports Management in reaching company goals and objectives. Primary focus areas are (1) performing basic service and light repairs and (2) supporting the needs of the service department. Job Duties Overview Performs express service and light repairs on customer vehicles Conducts multi-point and pre-delivery inspections and associated pictures/videos Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order Quality-checks own work and the work of other Technicians as requested Ensures Express vehicles are locked, and all keys are marked and put away correctly Follows a quality control process to eliminate comebacks Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins Keeps work areas organized and clean Upholds customer service scores above the Subaru Love Promise requirement Assists with keeping the dealership clean and orderly Updates job knowledge by maintaining all applicable courses, attending service meetings, and participating in training opportunities Completes any additional duties as required by management General Necessary skills to work productively with clients and colleagues Ability to comprehend and follow precise instructions to maintain a high level of quality and production in a fast-paced environment Time management and problem-solving skills Clean, valid driver’s license Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to interpret and carry out instructions written and oral instructions Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations and in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of the organization and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers Physical Standing and/or walking outside for up to 8 hours at a time Seeing, hearing, and speaking at close distances Using hands fingers, and feet to operate vehicle functions, write, type, and use small tools Lifting/moving up to 50 pounds Reaching with hands and arms, bending, kneeling, crouching, and stooping Able to use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Education/Experience Full level 1 Technician certification in Subarunet within the first 90 days of employment At least 6 months of related experience preferred
