Automotive Mechanic Position Available In Berkshire, Massachusetts

Job Summary:

Assemble armored vehicles ensuring the functionality of allcomponents and systems. Carry out electrical and mechanical assembly ofcomponents on manufactured armored vehicles include. See vehicle throughfinal inspection for customer delivery.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Runelectrical wiring using in-house built and prebuilt wiring harnesses.
• Install all interior and exterior lighting following workorders andLenco standards.
• Install exterior electronics such as thermal cameras,360 camera systems, sirens etc.
• Install exterior components such asballistic glass, bumpers, hitches, roof turrets, gun ports, winchesetc.
• Install interior components such as seats, cabinets, benches,carpets etc.
• Suspension component installation and adjustment asnecessary
• HVAC installation and service, both OEM and aftermarket
• Adhere to and carry out existing work practices, procedures andpolicies
• Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection andassociated guidelines where appropriate
• Understand and comply withsafety and environmental policies
• Other duties as assigned

INTERACTIONWITH

Work with other teams on shop floor to ensure trucks are built onschedule.

EXPERIENCE

Three plus (3+) years in the automotive industryworking on mechanical and electrical systems.

EDUCATION

• High schooldiploma required
• Certification from a vocational school or completionof apprenticeship is plus

CERTIFICATIONS

• ASE certification preferred.

Preferred qualifications L2 or A6-A7 or E1-E3 or T6-T7.

• Validdriver’s license

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Knowledge ofelectrical and hydraulic systems and their components.
• Knowledgeablein air conditioning, suspension, and other mechanical systems.
• Abilityto follow established procedures and practices and read instruction,blueprints etc.
• Ability to work independently in the absence ofsupervision
• Aptitude in using various hand tools and precisionmeasurement tools
• Strong commitment to all health and safetyguidelines
• Basic math skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Goodcommunication skills
• Problem-solving ability

• Knowledge of Ford vehicles a plus

• Must beable to pass physical exam
• Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
• Ability to exert maximum force to pull, and carry objects
• Must be ableto climb into, onto and under vehicle
• Extended periods of sitting,standing, bending, squatting, and kneeling
• Vision a minimum 20/40 withor without corrective lenses
