  Immediate opening for a full-time Automotive Technician in Presque Isle. Great daytime schedule. Prior experience required. Full-Time/Days; 8:00 AM

• 4:30 PM, Monday
• Friday; $17.00
• $20.

00/hr., depending on experience. The Automotive Technician will provide standard maintenance services for a variety of passenger and commercial vehicles. Ideal candidate will have good communication skills, knowledge to perform maintenance and repairs to manufacturer and customer specifications, and the ability to work safely and efficiently. Must be able to work independently, but also cooperate well with colleagues, customers, and management.

Responsibilities:

Conduct diagnostic tests to identify performance issues and make effective and accurate recommendations for vehicle service.
Perform basic care and maintenance, including oil changes, checking fluid levels, and changing/rotating tires. Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, filters, and sensors.
Verify that all repairs are complete and that vehicles are operating correctly and safely before returning them to customers.
Inspect vehicles to ensure that they meet local, state, and federal requirements for safety and emissions.
Keep accurate and organized records of completed projects and customer information.
Stay up to date on current industry practices and be willing to learn how to properly use new tools and technologies.
Keep the job site organized by properly cleaning and storing tools and materials.
Ensure that all equipment in the garage is well-maintained and working properly.
Follow all safety measures as directed and notify management about safety incidents or potential hazards in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent education required. Degree and/or certifications relating to automotive repair are strongly valued.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
At least two years of professional experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
Good communication skills; ability to explain services to customers and coordinate workloads with colleagues.
Ability to read and understand service manuals.
Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

Schedule:

 Full-time/Days; 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Pay:

 $17.00
