Job Summary:
Grubaugh-Bird Tires and Truck Beds are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Truck Bed Installation Technician and Auto Technician to join our team. This role involves installing truck beds, accessories, and performing general automotive maintenance and repair. Ideal candidates will have mechanical experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Truck Bed Installation Technician Duties:
Install flatbeds, service bodies, and dump beds on various truck chassis Mount toolboxes, hitches, lighting systems, and other accessories Perform wiring for lights and electrical components Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively Ensure all installations are secure, clean, and up to manufacturer standards
Auto Technician Duties:
Perform routine vehicle maintenance (oil changes, brake jobs, tire rotations, etc.) Diagnose and repair mechanical issues Conduct inspections and document findings Maintain a clean and safe work environment Communicate effectively with team and customers when needed
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Mechanical aptitude and experience using tools Welding or fabrication experience is recommended Automotive repair experience preferred Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
