Compensation and Benefits:
Hiring Salary Range :
$42,072. – $59,233.
Full Salary Range :
$40,452. – $77,458.

What You’ll Do:
The Light Auto Equipment Technician is an entry-level position performing skilled tasks in the maintenance of a variety of Automotive, Light/Medium Duty Trucks, and Light/Medium Duty off-road equipment. Employees must ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures. This is a journey-level class in the Equipment Services Technician series. Employees at this level perform preventive maintenance, NC Inspections, and general repair on automotive, light-duty, and medium-duty vehicles, trucks (non-diesel), and light- to medium-duty off-road equipment. (Trimmers, blowers, saws, generators, weed eaters, etc.) Employees at this level are required to be fully trained in all procedures related to their assigned area of responsibility. This employee receives supervision from Equipment Services Supervisors, upper management, and senior-level Master Technicians. NC Emission/Safety Inspection License and Air Conditioning Recovery Certification within
SIX MONTHS
of hire date. The position requires walking, stooping, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs. It also requires exposure to dust, grease, noise, heat, cold, and inclement weather. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED “OR” an equivalency of education and 2+ years of “related” experience 4+ years of documented Journey Level experience in Automotive/Light/Medium duty vehicles, trucks (non-diesel), and Light/Medium duty off-road equipment maintenance. Valid Driver’s License Emission/Safety Inspection License and Air Conditioning Recovery Certification (“OR” the ability to obtain within 6 months from hire date) Class C Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Automotive Systems Technology, Heavy Equipment & Transport Technology or “related” field 5 years experience in Automotive/Light/Medium duty vehicles, trucks (non-diesel), and Light/Medium duty off-road equipment maintenance Emission/Safety Inspection License ASE Certifications on Automotive Series. Emission/Safety Inspection License and Air Conditioning Recovery Certification
