Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Repair or replace worn or damaged parts, including brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors. Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. Test drive vehicles to confirm repairs and detect any other issues. Provide accurate estimates for repair costs and timelines to customers. Maintain detailed records of all repairs and services performed. Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers about vehicle issues and repair options. Stay current with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques. Ensure a clean and organized workspace. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines. Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians. Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; formal automotive training from a technical school or community college preferred. ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is highly desirable. (Not required by highly desirable, will pay for ASE certification) Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic. Proficiency in using diagnostic and repair tools. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy parts and working in various positions for extended periods.
