Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Transmission Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing automatic and manual transmissions, ensuring vehicles run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose transmission issues and perform repairs, rebuilds or replacements as necessary. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on transmission systems. Collaborate with service advisors to communicate findings and repair options to customers. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used. Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements related to transmission systems. Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in automotive repair preferred. Proven experience as a transmission technician or in a related role. Strong knowledge of automatic and manual transmission systems. Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset. ASE certification in transmission repair is a plus.
