As an Auto Mechanic, you will be diagnosing and repairing issues on our current fleet of vehicles that include a variety of box trucks, cutaways and vans. Your role is critical to the successful operation of the fleet and requires a high level of attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components and an ability to maintain repair shop equipment. The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with company management team, able to explain vehicle issues clearly and concisely, and provide valuable direction and feedback.

- Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop
- Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, various electrical work, and brake pad replacements
- Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including gasoline engines, transmission, and brakes
- Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork in a timely manner
- Track tire wear on all vehicles, maintaining and building adequate tire inventory
- Maintain a safe work environment and clean work area
- Position requires onsite responsibilities Monday-Friday 7:30am – 3:30pm and occasional Saturdays as needed during peak season Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Must be at least 21 years of age and posses a valid drivers license
- 1-3 years of experience
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills are a must
- Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program preferred or the equivalent of on-the-job training
- Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification preferred
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop and stand for long periods of time on concrete surfaces. Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 75 pounds
- Possess stable and verifiable work history, with exceptional record of attendance and punctuality Principals only.
