About the role The Field Lab Pack Technician will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and the Client’s sites. Duties include but are not limited to: Conducting lab pack projects indoors and outdoors, material inventory, segregation and packaging, completing paperwork and documentation in accordance with all DOT and EPA laws and regulations, and transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste in a Class A vehicle. The field lab pack technician will have the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans, trailers and roll-off trailers. The field lab pack technician is required to have a good motor vehicle record and must operate all motor vehicles in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws.

Responsibilities:

Perform Lab Pack services Operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations. Drive commercial vehicle to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments. Ensure placarding of vehicle meets DOT regulations. Maintain paperwork including expense reports, time sheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets, inventory sheets. Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water. Secure cargo prior to and during transit. Complete additional assigned duties.

Requirements:

High School Diploma / GED preferred. Chemical handling experience and/or chemistry knowledge. Lab Pack experience preferred. CDL Class A or B with HazMat and Tanker endorsements with minimum two years driving experience Ability to perform in a physically demanding position. Strong customer service skills. Must be 21 years or older, due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations. Clean driving record.
