Purpose of Job:

Maintains and repairs fleet vehicles, light/heavy trucks, vans, and forklifts to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Job Duties:

Performs most major repairs on fleet vehicles, light/heavy trucks, vans, and forklifts. Performs advanced diagnostic troubleshooting and problem-solving. Performs preventative maintenance and inspections. Performs driver-reported VCR repairs. Trains and assists other fleet technicians. Responsible for parts, test driving & forklift operations. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s Degree preferred. Five (5) ASE certifications or ten (10) years of vehicle maintenance experience. Valid Driver’s License. Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to their first day of employment. Must be able to obtain a CDL permit by the 15th business day and 45 business days from date of hire in which to obtain the license, if CDL is not currently held. Must possess proficient experience and knowledge with tools and equipment. Gasoline, diesel and propane fuel systems experience. Onboard diagnostics and repair experience. Must have experience with air and hydraulic brake systems, air conditioning, general vehicle repair, electrical systems, battery-powered industrial equipment, and hydraulic systems. Basic welding skills. Required to have his/her own set of mechanic’s tools sufficient for his/her level of experience. A good work ethic for daily physically and mentally challenging work. Must enjoy working outside year-round when necessary. Must have strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Must be able to meet PBV driving qualifications. Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.

Physical Requirements:
