Duties Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs, providing clear communication regarding services required. Utilize your mechanical knowledge to explain technical issues and recommend appropriate solutions. Prepare accurate auto estimates for repairs and maintenance services, ensuring transparency in pricing. Document customer concerns and vehicle maintenance history effectively through service writing. Coordinate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services such as shocks, struts, air brake repairs, and general vehicle maintenance. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further questions or concerns. Maintain a clean and organized service area, promoting a professional environment. Skills Strong understanding of automotive service processes and vehicle maintenance. Proficient in auto estimating with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Mechanical knowledge that allows for effective problem-solving and customer guidance. Experience in service writing to document customer interactions accurately. Ability to align customer needs with available services while maintaining high standards of customer care. Familiarity with various automotive systems including shocks, struts, and air brakes is preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and team members alike.
