Diesel Truck Shop Technician The Sunrock Group 214 Sunrock Rd, Kittrell, NC 27544

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Truck Shop Technician to join our team at our main truck shop in Kittrell, NC . This hands-on role involves repairing a fleet of approximately 50-60 assets, including mixer trucks, dump trucks, trailers, and day cab semis . The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in diesel engines, after treatment systems, automatic and manual transmissions, differentials, electrical systems, A/C, hydraulics, tires, brakes, and suspension.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and HVAC systems . ✅ Utilize Allison DOC, Detroit Diagnostic Software, Meritor, Wabco, and other industry-standard tools for diagnostics and programming. ✅ Ensure all repairs meet OSHA and MSHA safety standards. ✅ Work closely with management to schedule repairs and maximize fleet uptime . Qualifications & Skills:

✔

Experience:

working on Mack, Volvo, Detroit, Allison, mixer trucks, dump trucks and after treatment systems . ✔

Certifications:

ASE, Detroit, Allison, Cummins, CAT, Paccar, or similar preferred . ✔

Hydraulic & A/C Systems:

Strong experience in troubleshooting and repairing. 609 A/C certification. ✔

Welding:

Basic welding repair skills. ✔

Diagnostic Software Proficiency:

Proficient in Allison DOC, Detroit Diagnostic, Bendix, Haldex, Meritor, Wabco , and other tools. ✔

CDL:

A valid CDL is a plus , but not required ✔

Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills via phone, email, and text .

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly Pay:

$30 – $50 per hour (DOE)

Work Schedule:

50-60 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with alternating Saturdays as needed 401
