The North Carolina Department of Administration is seeking applicants for two Vehicle Equipment Repair Technician I’s for our Motor Fleet Management Division. The Motor Fleet Management Division provides passenger vehicles to state agencies for employees in the performance of their duties. It is a receipt-supported operation that purchases, maintains, assigns, and manages the state’s centralized fleet of more than 7,300 vehicles. These positions will support the staff members in the Garage and Service section of Motor Fleet Management. Duties and responsibilities include PM services, oil and filter changes, rotating tires, conducting basic vehicle systems checks such as wipers, lights, horn and tire pressure, brakes and suspension, performing NC state inspections, telematics installations. Also, this position may require forklift operations (with appropriate training), assisting our service department in taking and picking up vehicles from shops or dealers, and other duties as needed. The hours of this position are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
