Automotive Dealership Service Dispatcher Dave Warren Auto Group 1001 Washington Street, Jamestown, NY 14701 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Service Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the flow of service requests, ensuring timely responses and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive service and dispatching work to techs, with a strong focus on customer service and communication. Job Summary As an Automotive Service Dispatcher, you’ll play a critical role in coordinating service appointments, assigning work to technicians based on skill and availability, and ensuring timely completion of repair orders. You will serve as the communication hub between service advisors, technicians, and parts personnel to maintain a smooth and productive workflow. Key Responsibilities Assign repair orders to technicians based on availability, skills, and job priority. Monitor and manage work-in-progress to ensure on-time delivery of services. Communicate with service advisors about job status and any delays or issues. Adjust technician schedules as needed for urgent or walk-in jobs. Ensure technicians have the necessary parts and tools before starting work. Assist in maintaining accurate and organized repair order documentation. Support a productive, team-oriented shop environment. Help optimize technician efficiency and shop capacity. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or automotive training is a plus. Prior experience as a dispatcher, service advisor, or technician is strongly preferred. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of automotive repair processes and terminology. Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) such as Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Automate, etc., is a plus. $17.00 – $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
