Brockport Spencerport Road, Brockport, NY 14420 Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and repair, with expertise in automotive electrical systems and the ability to work on GM vehicles. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety while delivering exceptional service to our customers. Duties Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting on various automotive systems, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and electrical systems. Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Utilize auto estimating software to provide accurate repair estimates to customers. Read and interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications. Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding vehicle issues and repair processes. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on automotive service and repair. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, including diagnostics and repairs. Familiarity with GM vehicles is preferred but not required. Experience with ADAS technology is a plus. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. A valid driver’s license is required. Spurr Chevrolet GMC is looking for A and B level techs. Looking for a change?
