Visit our website at nyc.gov/dcas to learn more about the work we do. Fleet at DCAS manages all NYC vehicles, equipment, fuel, leasing, and related services. The City’s fleet includes NYPD, FDNY, and DSNY and fifty agencies and offices in total, $1 billion+ in expenditure, and 1,800 full time staff. NYC Fleet leads Mayoral initiatives in safety as part of Vision Zero and sustainability as part of NYC Clean Fleet. DCAS manages the nation’s largest live tracking program for vehicles at the DCAS Office of Real Time Tracking (FORT). Fleet is hiring a fleet service coordinator to support the Client Fleet Services program for DCAS. Client Fleet Services supports 40 agencies and offices and maintains 4,000 City vehicles including NYCHA. This person will coordinate repairs and servicing between agencies and the contracting network under NY State contract, and will address upfits, emergencies, weekend work, inspections, recalls, and special sustainability and safety projects. Th responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Assist with daily fleet operations for all agencies including fuel, parts, contract repairs, and consolidation repairs. Work with agencies and vendors to coordinate, organize and complete fleet service repairs, tows, crash repairs, and vehicle upfits. Resolve customer/client issues. Update the vendor and DCAS Fleet Focus systems with fleet repair information. Respond to service and general emergency situations including weekend breakdowns and tow and fueling issues and NYCEM tow task force requirements. Manage state and preventive inspections and recalls. Assist DCAS fleet field services team with EVSE maintenance, telematics installs, and related work. Coordinate installation of truck side-guards, intelligent speed assist (ISA) and other safety retrofit devices on City vehicles and contracted trucks in accordance with local law and Vision Zero policy. Support general division and agency projects and initiatives and perform related work

  • 10246 Minimum Qualifications 1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited CUNY college in a major related to the work in which the fellow will be trained, and perform in the particular position. Preferred Skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word and Excel
  • Previous experience reviewing and analyzing vehicle estimates/invoices
