Job Description

Service Assistant 1.0 1.0 out of 5 stars 313 Quaker Road, Queensbury, NY 12804 The Service Assistant at the DELLA Auto Group in Queensbury, New York is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting technicians in the repair and maintenance of vehicles. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry, ideal for individuals with technical skills and a passion for automobiles.

Compensation & Benefits:

The Service Assistant will receive a competitive hourly rate of $17 to $19 per hour, paid weekly. This individual will also be eligible for benefits, including health insurance, vacation/sick time, and a 401k plan.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner. 2. Retrieve and park vehicles in the service area and direct customers to waiting areas. 3. Assist technicians with vehicle repairs and maintenance. 4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area and equipment. 5. Perform basic maintenance tasks such as tire rotations and oil changes. 6. Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used. 7. Communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and other team members. 8. Adhere to all safety and quality standards set by the dealership. 9. Assist with inventory management and ordering of parts and supplies. 10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Previous experience in the auto industry preferred. 3. Technical skills and knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair. 4. Excellent customer service and communication skills. 5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 6. Organizational skills and attention to detail. 7. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. 8. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. 9. Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed.
