Peekskill area Automotive Shop Job description: Service Writer, or Automotive Service Writer, is responsible for assisting customers with their vehicle repair needs. Their duties include greeting customers and telling them about the types of services their shop offers, updating customers on the progress of their vehicle repair, vehicle inspections and processing customer transactions upon completion of vehicle repairs. Additional duties include ordering parts for mechanics on various vehicles being worked on and logging packing slip to appropriate vehicle when item arrives for A/P to bill. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, CCC and Mitchell a + Knowledge of WIX, website design and Quickbooks a ++
