You will install, maintain, and repair loading dock and overhead doors and related equipment.

Key Job Duties:

Use safe work practices during all job duties Troubleshoot general mechanical issues with dock levelers and overhead doors. Read electrical voltages and diagnosing electrical issues. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic parts. Perform routine maintenance including greasing, adjustments, and inspections. Log work notes and parts used on iPad tablet. Perform repairs in the field at customer locations. Use extension ladders, scissor lifts, and power tools. Work independently or in small team as needed. On-call (after hours) duties and local travel required.

Competencies:

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Construction background is a plus. Basic math skills.

Working Conditions:

Physical requirements necessary include standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, most of the time with infrequent opportunities to sit. Must be able to lift or exert a force of up to 50 pounds or greater and be on your feet during the entire work shift. Ability to work in wet or humid conditions, as well as extreme cold or heat. Occasionally may be required to perform work in the evenings or on weekends.

Experience/Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical, welding, electrical industries. Clean driving record and valid Driver’s License. High School education or equivalent. Drug screening & background check.
