The Opportunity We’re hiring a diagnostic technician for a 30-day trial period with a pay-per-job structure to ensure a great fit. Successful candidates may transition to a permanent role based on performance. This is your chance to prove your skills and join a top-tier team. Responsibilities Perform accurate and efficient vehicle diagnostics using advanced tools (e.g., OBD-II scanners, multimeters, oscilloscopes). Identify root causes of mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues across various vehicle makes and models. Document findings clearly and collaborate with repair technicians to ensure proper fixes. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace.

Qualifications Experience :

Minimum 3 years as an automotive diagnostic technician in a professional shop.

Certifications :

ASE A1-A8

certifications strongly preferred; other relevant certifications (e.g., manufacturer-specific) a plus.

Skills :

Proficient with diagnostic tools (e.g., Snap-On, Bosch, or equivalent) and software. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

Track Record :

Proven ability to diagnose complex issues accurately, minimizing comebacks and unnecessary repairs.

Requirements :

Valid driver’s license, own tools, and ability to pass a practical diagnostic test during the interview. Trial Period & Compensation 30-

Day Trial :

Work as a diagnostic technician for 30 days to demonstrate your skills. Continuation to a permanent role depends on performance (e.g., diagnostic accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction).

Pay-Per-Job :

Earn $50-$100 per completed diagnosis, based on complexity (e.g., $50 for basic codes, $100 for advanced electrical issues). A “completed job” requires an accurate diagnosis verified by successful repair. Expect 5-10 jobs per day, depending on shop volume.

Compliance :

Pay structure ensures compliance with PA labor laws, including minimum wage and overtime rules.

Evaluation :
