Truck Technician Fabricator 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 550 State Rd Ste D, Philadelphia, PA 19020 State Truck Collision is seeking an Auto Fabricator to join our growing team of exceptional employees. MUST have previous experience with auto body work and repairs. We are looking someone who is energetic and reliable that has a diverse set of skills. Experience working with commercial vehicles a huge plus, i.e., tractor trailers, box trucks, buses, vans, forklifts. This is NOT a car shop. Must be a team player! Hours are 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday with opportunity for more hours.

Responsibilities:
Cutting and welding with a variety of processes. Machining fabrication materials and components. Fitting, setting, and installing fabricated structures. Make repairs to cargo boxes, trailers, frames, wheelbases. File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces preparing for paint. Keep neat and orderly records on work performed and repairs made. Repair, design, layout, and estimation and metal forming, bending, and finishing. Be responsible for keeping track of time records relating to repairs, shop time, and payroll hours for oneself. Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance. Repair, design, layout, and estimation and metal forming, bending, and finishing. Uses specialized equipment, such as metal welding or soldering tools, to build components. Review blueprints, drawings, and other specification papers before starting work on a fabrication process and during the steps to ensure accurate completion. Bodywork, Sheet Metal Work, install parts, Weld and ensure all gaps and fits are to industry standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or a GED equivalent Excellent color vision and hand dexterity Physical ability to lift at least 75 pounds or more. At least two years of experience in fabrication preferred. Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening required by DOT.
