Manufacturer Training and Mentoring Enhanced Paid Vacation Dealership Employee Discounts Schedule that promotes a work/life balance Relocation Assistance on a case-by-case basis A Day in the Life of a Used Vehicle Technician (but not limited to): Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles, completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters. Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage. Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems. Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Skill/Qualifications include but are not limited to: Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic, preferably with used vehicles. Familiarity with diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of makes and models. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift heavy parts and tools (up to 50 pounds or more). Capability to work in a physically demanding environment (bending, standing, kneeling for extended periods).
