The Automotive Mechanic II will modify cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. The Automotive Mechanic II will perform independent project tasks and collaborate with customers and team members. This position is located in Greer, SC. Check out this video! We Are Roush As an Automotive Mechanic ll, you will: Maintain test vehicle functional condition by conducting inspections and performing required hardware updates Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components. Perform short testing drives to validate repairs and updates Read, interpret, and follow service procedures and HW retrofit instructions Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders in appropriate documentation tools Participate in daily shop team meetings and maintain a clean and organized workspace To be considered as an Automotive Mechanic ll, you will need: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 4 years of work experience as a Mechanic Knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment Good attention to detail and organizational skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Ownership of tools with rolling toolbox Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures A successful candidate may also have: Certificate in Automotive Technology or related National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s) State Mechanic Certification(s) Valid driver’s license Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines and balancers Experience working with BMW vehicles 2021 or newer Experience working in a manufacturing facility Knowledge of vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends Our full-time benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, earned sick time, STD, LTD, 401K, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, paid holidays, and more.
