Vehicle Technician
Gray Court, SC Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician
- Transmission Specialist to support transmission assembly, disassembly, diagnostics, and repairs on various vehicle models.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with automatic and manual transmissions, including troubleshooting issues and performing necessary repairs or replacements. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair vehicle transmission systems, including automatic, manual, CVT, and dual-clutch transmissions.
Conduct transmission rebuilds, fluid flushes, and replacements as needed.
Perform troubleshooting using diagnostic tools to identify issues in transmission components.
Disassemble and reassemble transmissions for inspection, repair, or replacement.
Conduct road tests to verify repairs and ensure proper vehicle functionality.
Work with OEM procedures, service manuals, and technical bulletins to ensure correct repair methods.
Perform quality checks and document all repairs following industry and company standards.
Collaborate with engineers, service teams, and quality control personnel to address complex transmission concerns.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
3+ years of experience working with vehicle transmissions, including repair, rebuild, and diagnostics.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in automotive repair preferred.
Certifications:
ASE Certification in Automatic and Manual Transmissions is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of transmission systems, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy components, work in various positions, and operate tools and machinery safely.
Other:
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule & Compensation Hours:
1st Shift
- 6:00am-2:00pm; 2nd Shift
- 2:00pm-10:00pm; 3rd Shift
- 10:00pm-6:00am
Compensation:
