Discount Tire and Auto Repair 2902 Andersonville Highway, Clinton, TN 37716 Tire Technician Job Description Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of tires for a variety of vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that our customers receive safe and reliable service while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive repair. Greg Tindell opened GT Tire in 1977, the business is still owned and operated by Dusty, Greg’s son. We only service light truck and passenger cars, no medium or heavy truck tires. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, inspect and identify potential issues with suspension, brakes, drivetrain, etc. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Assist in diagnosing vehicle issues related to tire performance and provide appropriate solutions. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of all services. Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in tire technology.
PLEASE NOTE
this is not a “mechanic” position, use of company tools is required, personal tools are not needed. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive tire service preferred. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to tire service. Ability to perform general vehicle maintenance tasks. Familiarity with tires and understanding vehicle dynamics. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. A commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment. We are fortunate to have a very good customer base, many of them being long term customers. While this job will not require excessive customer service, or sales, customer interaction, communication, overall presentability, and especially attitude will be very important aspects of this position.
