High school diploma or GED Driver’s License Non-CDL Class C 1 year Pest Control License Pesticide Applicator’s License Mechanical knowledge Mechanical troubleshooting Entry level Under 1 year Tanker Endorsement Full Job Description We are looking for a skilled and motivated Truck Upfitter / Bedliner Spray Technician to join our team! This dual-role position involves upfitting a variety of trucks while also applying spray-in bedliners and installing aftermarket accessories. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Reading and interpreting technical documentation like work instructions, installation directions, and blueprints. Work with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Prepare vehicles for spray-in bedliner applications (masking, surface prep, etc.). Apply spray-in bedliners to truck beds and other components. Install aftermarket truck accessories, such as tonneau covers, step bars, and lighting. Maintain spray equipment and tools to ensure they are in safe, working condition. Installing various truck bodies, such as flatbeds, dump bodies, service bodies, and van bodies onto truck chassis. Assembling and installing specialized equipment like partitions, snowplows, lift gates, cranes, hoists, and shelving systems. Wiring electrical systems, including emergency lighting, power systems, and communication equipment. Routing and installing wire harnesses, auxiliary batteries, and other vehicle accessories. Modifying and fabricating components according to blueprints or customer specifications. Troubleshooting and repairing issues with truck equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems. Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the proper operation of the upfitted equipment. Testing the functionality and safety of the installed equipment. Performing quality control checks during the upfitting process. Report supply needs and any safety concerns to the shop foreman. Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines while working. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Completing jobs within designated timeframes.

Qualifications:

Body shop or spray experience is a plus but not required. Ability to read schematics and follow detailed technical instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to lift a minimum of 100 lbs. Must have a valid driver’s license. Able to work full-time Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. No diploma or GED required – we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
