Quality Technician Job Description As a Quality Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining product quality by inspecting finished parts during the manufacturing process of laser cut metals and robotically and projection welded assemblies. Your interactions will include direct communication with production, engineering, tooling, maintenance, and quality personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards. Responsibilities Inspect parts against gauges and specifications. Report any material that is out of specification. Place parts on hold when necessary. Instruct operations to adjust machines to meet specifications. Utilize visual and tactile methods for quality inspection. Proficiency in quality inspection and quality assurance techniques. Experience with visual and final inspection processes. Ability to use quality control tools such as micrometers and calipers. Competency in data entry and computer skills. Understanding of blueprint reading. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production quality, preferably in automotive industry. Attention to detail. Familiarity with SAP software. As an automotive supplier, the facility stamps and assembles various metal parts and assemblies. Quality Technicians will spend most of their shift on the production floor, inspecting parts as they come off the line. Expect to work six days a week, primarily on: 2nd (2pm-10:30pm) 3rd shift (10pm-6:30am). Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 – $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
