Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled Avionics Technician with experience in a heavy maintenance environment to join our team in Huntsville, AL . This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering competitive pay and long-term employment potential. Candidates must hold a valid FAA Airframe license .
Key Responsibilities:
Perform installation, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems including communication, navigation, autopilot, and other electronic systems. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical data. Execute system tests and functional checks to ensure compliance with FAA standards and manufacturer specifications. Document all work performed in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures. Collaborate with other technicians to ensure on-time and quality completion of aircraft maintenance projects. Follow all applicable safety and quality control procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of avionics experience in a heavy maintenance environment (commercial or military). Valid FAA Airframe license required (Powerplant not required). Strong understanding of modern avionics systems, wiring installation, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and wiring diagrams. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
