Sr. Aviation Project Analyst – CH-47 Chinook
GDIT is seeking aSr. Aviation Project Analyst -CH-47 Chinookto join our Cargo International team in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will perform project lead, subject matter expert and analysis functions for Cargo International Product Office on multiple platformCH-47 Chinookaircraft and products.
How the Sr. Aviation Project Analyst will make an impact:
SupportCH-47 ChinookFMS sales, delivery, modification, and sustainment efforts along with system performance and analysis activities for Cargo International Product Office.
Serve as a technical POC/Project Lead for incoming and outgoing technical tasks associated with international efforts for allCH-47 Chinookproducts. Responsible for interfacing with the staff within the Cargo International Product Office and International Tech Division to ensure all project issues are properly addressed.
Prepares status reports, assesses project technical issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and objectives.
Assist in determining the airworthiness requirements for aircraft modifications and review of the resulting data, in concert with various aeronautical/system engineers, to meet those requirements to substantiate airworthiness/qualification.
POC/Project Lead within the International Technical Management Division supporting theCH-47 Chinookproducts tasked with responding to technical issues assigned within the organization. Tasks can be related to any aspect of an aviation platform, to include hardware, software, functionality, interoperability, navigation, communication, survivability, safety, RAM, Mission Equipment and performance.
Participate as a member of Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) ensuring application of aircraft systems and airworthiness principles throughout all aircraft lifecycle phases.
Complete technical reviews of documentation, which may include Performance Work Statements (PWS), modifications, drawings, CDRLs, AWRs, system and subsystem assessments and descriptions.
Knowledgeable ofArmy Aviation Airworthiness, equipment integration and qualification requirements, standards and processes, with experience in supporting discussions and meetings in those areas, along with reviewing associated documentation.
Interact as necessary with international customers to ensure RFI’s are understood.
Travel as necessary to programmatic meetings and other events such as testing, or field investigations whenever deemed necessary by leadership.
Support technical meetings, such asSRRs,PDRs,CDRs,TRRsandTIMs.
Support meetings and planning sessions with all program stakeholders associated with the development and presentation of technical topics of the international customers.
Quickly inform technical leadership of any problems or issues in developing responses.
Communicate effectively with all internal staff and external organizations, both government and contractor, in executing all tasks.
What you’ll need to be successful:
B.S in an Engineering discipline + 12 years of experience or 15 years of relevant experience in related aircraft.
Experience in US ARMY program office is desired, to include PM Cargo, PM Utility, PM Apache, or System Readiness Division (SRD).
Fundamental understanding of rotor aircraft dynamics and controls, flight mechanics, aerodynamics and propulsion are required. Maintenance Test Pilot experience with CH-47, MH-47, Mi-17 and UH-60 variant aircraft highly desired. Aircraft integration and aircraft modification experience is highly desired. Experience can be substituted for education.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant license is desired.
An active Secret clearance is required for this position.
This position will require 25% OCONUS travel.

The likely salary range for this position is $110,614 – $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
