The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of avionics systems in aircraft. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic systems and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Avionics Technician will ensure that all systems are functioning properly and comply with safety regulations. Duties Install, test, and troubleshoot avionics systems, including communication, navigation, and flight control systems. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, calipers, and micrometers to perform precise measurements and adjustments. Fabricate components as necessary to meet specifications and requirements. Operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality assurance checks. Conduct regular inspections of avionics equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with engineering teams to militarise systems for specific operational needs. Perform heavy lifting when required during installation or maintenance tasks. Document all maintenance activities and modifications in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Qualifications Proven experience as an Avionics Technician or similar role in the aviation industry. Strong knowledge of airframe systems and electronic components used in aircraft. Proficiency in using various measurement tools including ohmmeters, ammeters, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Ability to fabricate parts and components as needed for repairs or installations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. Must be able to lift heavy objects safely as part of job responsibilities.
