JOB OVERVIEW A
Lead Technician is responsible for planning and leading the work of mechanics; responsible for assuring the airworthiness of the engines and for compliance with applicable federal regulations and guidelines; performs necessary repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance on aircraft; does related work as required.
Shift schedule:
2:30pm-11:00pm
Responsibilities:
Leads the work of other aircraft mechanics by planning, a signing, prioritizing, setting work schedules, providing quality control surveillance and/or on-the-job training. Ensure all work are performed in strict accordance with the CFM manuals and FAA regulations. Understands and follows the priority order of the assignments. Ensure that every person assigned to a job has the correct work instructions, tools, and applicable references available and is familiar with what is required to complete the task. Assure proper documentation for work performed by assigned employees, reflecting the status of the job. Directly oversee the work performed by any individuals who are unfamiliar with the methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to perform any maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations. Verify qualifications of assigned employees to ensure only properly trained and qualified employees are assigned to each task. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental compliance.
Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent +5 years experience as an engine mechanic FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate required
CFM56-7/5
profficient Should have demonstrated cross-functional leadership and team-building skills Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S Must be fluent in English (written and verbal)
Preferred:
Capable of interpreting drawings and blueprints to accomplish a specific task. Efficient in the use and application of tools, gauges, instruments, etc. necessary for the accomplishment of duties assigned. Demonstrated the ability to use good judgment and make sound decisions.
Job Demands:
Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb to reach materials, and work in a noisy environment.
