SUMMARY:

The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for leadingand managing aviation projects from conception to completion,ensuring adherence to safety, regulatory, budgetary, and timelineconstraints. This role involves coordinating with cross-functionalteams, overseeing engineering designs, and providing technicalexpertise to ensure project success. Design/manufacturingexperience with engine/APU/aircraft fuel systems and/or accessoriesis an asset.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, butare not limited to: Lead and manage aviation projects by defining project scopes,goals, and deliverables. Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets while monitoringprogress and ensuring adherence to established timelines andbudgets. Establish and assure that periodic checks are made on allinspection tools and the calibration of precision test equipmentused by the repair station. Further assures that a current recordof those inspections and tests is maintained. Responsible for planning and notifying affected repair stationdepartments of potential downtime caused by scheduled equipmentcalibrations or repairs. Ensures internal projects are assigned to the appropriateengineer to lead it, keeps track of said projects and maintains anestimated completion schedule. Communicating the goals of the company to all engineers andprofessionals in the team. Provide technical expertise and guidance in aviationengineering principles, including aircraft systems, avionics,structures, propulsion, and materials. Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation,including progress reports, engineering changes, and certificationdocuments. Provide expert technical guidance and direction to projectteams and other stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, andcustomers. Resolve engineering challenges and make sound decisions toaddress any issues that arise during the project. Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, andtechnical documents. Identify potential risks and challenges within projects anddevelop mitigation strategies to address issues that may impactproject timelines, quality, or budget. Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders,clients, vendors, and external partners to ensure alignment onproject objectives, progress updates, and addressing concerns orinquiries. Supervising every phase of the project from start tocompletion. Calculating costs, material, labor, and time required for eachproject. Approving designs and budgets. Develop and maintain strong technical relationships withexternal suppliers and vendors involved in cabin retrofitprojects. Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure a clearunderstanding of engineering specifications, design requirements,and quality standards. Lead groups of engineers or technicians on projects ifneeded. Write reports and present progress at project teammeetings. Implement quality control measures to ensure the higheststandards of engineering practices and aviation safety are upheldthroughout the project lifecycle. Performing quality control checks on all systems andproducts. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

7 years of relevant/technical work experience and 6-7 years ofleadership experience.

OR An additional 3 years of specific workexperience in lieu of degree. A sound understanding of engineering principles. The ability to maintain a positive attitude and restore moraleto a team. Strong understanding of aviation regulations, industrystandards, and best practices. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solvingskills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel,Outlook and scheduling applications. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams andmanage multiple projects simultaneously.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in the relevant engineering field. 14+ years of experience working on a team in a seniorengineering role. Design/manufacturing experience with engine/APU/aircraft fuelsystems and/or accessories. The selected applicant will be subject to a background checkand drug testing. #J-18808-Ljbffr
