Job Description
Summary:
Seeking an Avionics/Electrical Technician IV for operational testing, troubleshooting, and installation of aircraft systems.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED 6 years of experience in avionics/electrical systems OR 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics + 4 years of experience Expertise in avionics testing, troubleshooting, and component repairs Live aircraft experience Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
Preferred Skills:
A&P (FAA Airframe & Powerplant) license FCC License and NCATT Certification Proficiency in other aircraft systems (e.g., hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls) APU or engine run qualification Experience in flight testing and aircraft certification
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing Perform installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components per specifications Ensure quality of installations; troubleshoot to provide timely repairs Repair or replace defective components using techniques like splicing, soldering, pinning wiring Set up and operate test equipment; conduct performance evaluations Test and maintain electronic systems/components Comply with safety regulations including FOD program, tool control program, and the company’s safety programs
