Aviation Inspector Cherry Point, North Carolina Engineering 21495 Astrion is currently seeking
NAVAIR T408
Turbine Engine Inspector to support our customer in Cherry Point, NC. Duties will include, but are not limited to: Perform pre-shop tear-down analysis of aircraft components at the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), analyzing and documenting NAVAR Turbine Engine equipment conditions found during the normal pre-shop analysis process that could lead to component or systems failure.
Compose failure analysis reports including the inspection report of NAVAIR Turbine equipment conditions found, measurements, digital photographs of component failures and scanned equipment historical paperwork.
Responsible for timely entry of failure analysis reports into an electronic database repository.
Responsible for identifying and marking all anomalous hardware for further engineering analysis as directed.
Responsible for contacting/integrating with specific engineering working groups as directed.
Responsible for conducting special inspection projects or studies, as tasked, to aid in engineering analysis.
Responsible for engineering and program management interface
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 10-years of related aviation maintenance experience
Experience working with maintenance personnel and processes is desired
Must currently possess an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be proficient Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word.
Preferred T408 Turboshaft Engine maintenance experience
Preferred Active Airframe and Powerplant License
