Aircraft AssemblerNorth Charleston, SCContract :
6- 12 monthsVideo Interview9-10 weeks of trainingAbility to work a variable shift 1st, 2nd, or 3rdMust be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift, there is no guarantee You will stay on the same shift and requesting shifts is not an option. They may be on a different shift during training than their normalJob DescriptionPerforms routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.
Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd )Experience with aircraft structural parts fabrication, assembly processes and proceduresExperience with conventional lathe, milling, precision measuring, power, pneumatic and hand toolsExperience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, and/or other specialized computer applicationsExperience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading, and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specificationsAbility to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulationCarrying/Lifting to 10-35 poundsAbility to work with High Hazard ChemicalsFlexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing, twisting at the waist, and walking.
Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), Crawling, Crouching (squatting),Capable of drilling, reaming, filling, removing, and installing fasteners, Shimming, accurately measuring, and documenting data.
Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting)Must be proficient in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, etc.
Must have demonstrated strong effective communication, work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned task/work.
Ability to identify common toolsEducation/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
