Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining paint spray systems, troubleshooting and repairing equipment malfunctions, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the spraying equipment. This could include cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting sprayers, as well as replacing worn parts.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Performing routine checks and maintenance tasks like cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting sprayers to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. Disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling sprayers using appropriate solvents and cleaning tools. Replacing worn-out or damaged parts like nozzles, seals, and filters. Identifying and diagnosing the root cause of equipment failures. Performing necessary repairs, including adjusting, and replacing parts. Rebuilding regulators, pumps, and guns according to OEM repair specifications. Calibrating sprayers to ensure accurate paint application. Adhering to all safety protocols, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling hazardous materials properly. Disposing of hazardous waste according to regulations as needed. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed. Communicating with supervisors and other staff about equipment issues and repairs. Assisting with training new employees to operate and maintain paint sprayers.
Skills and Qualifications:
Mechanical aptitude to maintain and repair equipment. Experience maintaining and repairing paint sprayers, pumps or similar equipment” Capable of diagnosing and resolving equipment issues. Communicate with others about equipment issues and repairs. Previous experience in maintaining and repairing paint sprayers or similar equipment is preferred. safety procedures and regulations related to paint spraying equipment.
Education and Experience:
Previous technical experience related to maintaining and repairing paint sprayers, pumps or similar equipment is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Walking/standing for 8+ hours daily Repetitive motions (bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, lifting, etc.) Lifting up to 50 lbs.
