Maintenance Technician Springhill Suites by Marriott Downtown Birmingham 2024 4th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233 Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in various maintenance tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our environment. Duties Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to logic controllers and other automated systems. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of maintenance projects. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management. Assist in welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications. Lead small teams during specific projects or emergency repairs, demonstrating strong leadership skills. Skills Proficient in facilities maintenance with a solid understanding of electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and plumbing. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Experience with logic controllers and troubleshooting automated systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with CMMS for tracking maintenance activities and inventory management. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating leadership when necessary.
