Full-Time, Monday – Friday Are you a hands-on problem-solver with a passion for maintenance and facility care? The Huntsville-Madison County 9-1-1 Center is seeking a Facilities Technician – Maintenance to keep our critical infrastructure operating safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

As a key part of our Operations team, you’ll handle routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections across our facility. From monitoring HVAC and generators to coordinating with vendors and ensuring a clean, functional workspace, your work will directly support our life-saving mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform building maintenance, internal and external repairs, and preventative upkeep Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, generators, and building appliances Coordinate maintenance with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs Conduct limited groundskeeping including pressure washing and weather preparation Identify, report, and respond to facility safety or repair issues promptly Keep storage areas organized and ensure secure building access

What You Bring:

Prior experience in general maintenance, facility repair, or a similar hands-on role Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently or on a team Willingness to come in on off hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed to address urgent maintenance Physical ability to lift 30+ lbs, perform manual labor and overhead repairs, climb ladders, and work on your feet for extended periods Valid Alabama driver’s license required Apply Today and Keep Our Facilities Running Strong!
