- 7•30pm with OT2 for 2nd shift 3•11p with OT$27+ per hour based on experience68% mark up781 hour contractThey will train on site at AMF and two will be moved to AMFSouth (old Remington building) once trained and needed at that facilityJob Description Summary Team Members work in a self-directed team-based environment which encompasses but is not limited to performing skill work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Work involves the operation of machinery to include trouble shooting and preventative maintenance: repairing equipment such as vehicle hoists, air compressors, pumps, HVAC. Must comply and support all internal and external Environmental, HazMat, and Safety requirements including standards, programs and tools. Must have basic woodworking skills; plumbing and pipe fitting with use of power threader; experience operating boom lift and forklift equipment; replacement of tower light fixtures; knowledge of motor control systems and electrical equipment; installation of conduit and related hardware to power equipment; arc and acetylene welding; and fabrication of equipment and parts. Work assignments are received orally and in written format, which may be accompanied by manuals, sketches and diagrams; must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Start up, regulate, repair and shut down equipment.
- Ensure that equipment operates safely and economically and within established limits by monitoring attached meters, gauges, and computerized controls.
- Having working knowledge of PLC’s and or Motor Controls is a plus
- We manually control equipment and make the necessary adjustments.
- Use hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance ranging from a complete overhaul to replacing defective valves, gaskets, or bearings.
- Record relevant events and facts concerning operation and maintenance in an equipment log.
- Perform routine Preventive Maintenance on all equipment, be able to identify any potential problems or issues while doing so.
- Detect potential mechanical problems by observing and listening to the pitch of the machinery.
- Routinely check safety devices, identifying and correcting any trouble that develops.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as repairing and replacing pumps, motors and other operating equipment, lubricating moving parts, replacing filters, and removing soot and corrosion that can reduce operating efficiency.
- Operate, maintain and repair also have a good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in a building, compressors, vacuum pumps, chillers, and all related equipment or hardware.
- Maintain all facility components and equipment, parts and supplies including HVAC, filters, belts, coils, cooling towers, condensers and compressors in the most efficient and cost¬ effective manner possible.
- Maintain all facility interior and exterior components and improvements including electrical tamping outlets, appliances, cabinetry, doors, locks, plumbing pumps, parking lots, roofs and signage in their best and most cost-effective condition.
- Develop a strong customer service-oriented relationship with client, employees and managers.
- Solve client facilities-related problems.
- Conduct day-to-day activities necessary to provide for the safety and comfort of facility occupants and to protect the value and extend the life of the facility asset.
- Report all equipment failures or contractor requirements to Facility Manager.
- Execute preventive maintenance programs to protect the value and extend the life of all facility components and to provide for cost-effective operation.
- Report needed repair beyond budget approval limit to the Facility Manager.
- When scheduled, maintain on-call status, 24-hrs daily for immediate action pertaining to critical systems failure.
- Obtain and follow updates for equipment maintenance improvement and upkeep.
- Obtain and follow updates on all client, C&W Services, local, state and federal laws, rules, regulations, guidelines and ordinances.
- Report all potential liability situations to Facility Manager.
- Report all equipment failures to Facility Manager.
- Maintain client or company-owned or leased vehicles, equipment and tools in safe, efficient and effective condition.
- Report all emergency situations to client and C&W Services management.
- Exhibit good personal grooming, including proper maintenance of company uniforms ¬
- Practice client security regulations and procedures.
- Provide project supervision of subcontractors.
- Assist in the recording and updating of project status reports.
- Assist in the soliciting proposals as necessary on-site.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES
- Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
- Checks machinery for proper operation, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Keeps logs of operations, records data, e.g., fuel consumed, temperature and pressure, etc.
- Installs, maintains and repairs heating, ventilation, air conditioning equipment (HVAC) and refrigeration units, etc.
- Visually inspects equipment at periodic intervals.
- Performs other related duties as required or requested.
- Maintain assigned tools and equipment in clean, proper working condition; notify Supervisor in the event an assigned tool is found to be or becomes defective.
- Ensure compliance with all company and customer policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Effectively communicate in a positive, proactive manner with all team members, customer employees, and vendors; demonstrate a team and teamwork values.
- Participate in the continuous improvement process.
- Logging daily maintenance performance in detail
- Preventative maintenance of equipment
- Reporting to supervisor all deficiencies, material required, and actual quantities used

Education:
High School Diploma or approved GED (A degree in a Technical related field is a plus)
- Minimum 5 years full-time experience as a Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic/Facilities Technician Experience Level Entry Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00
- $28.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
