POSITION SUMMARY:
Repairs and maintains, in accordance with company and manufactures specification, all machinery (electrical and mechanical) and maintains building using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. 2. Trouble shoots electrical circuits to determine problems. 3. Dismantles devices to gain access to remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools. 4. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. 5. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments. 6. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels and straight edges. 7. Repairs or replaces defective parts (electric and mechanical) using hand tools and power tools. 8. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices, using hand tools. 9. Starts devices to test their performance. 10. Ability to apply a push or pull force of 100 lbs. and lift a minimum of 75 lbs. 11. Ability to be to read blue prints . 12. ability to work with 110v to 480v. 13. Ability to trouble shoot hydraulics. 14. This will be night shift.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lubricates and clean parts. 2. May initiate purchase orders for parts and machines. 3. Keeps work area clean. 4. Performs other work related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
1. High school education or equivalent. 2. Two years technical school or related experience. 3. Two years experience repairing and servicing a variety of machines. 4. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
