We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Quality Maintenance Technician to support customer delivery operations on a high-rate commercial aircraft production line. This position focuses on hands-on quality support, light corrective actions, and customer walk-down readiness for single-aisle and regional jet aircraft. The technician serves as a critical part of the final quality control process, ensuring all discrepancies are addressed before delivery and aircraft meet strict conformance and airworthiness standards.
Responsibilities:
Conduct visual and functional inspections across aircraft systems, structural zones, and cabin installations during late-stage production. Perform minor adjustments, touch-ups, and rework tasks within the scope of qualifications to support delivery readiness. Support interior and exterior cosmetic quality checks, including lighting, placards, seat tracks, sidewalls, flooring, and overhead bins. Prepare aircraft for customer walk-throughs and formal acceptance, ensuring all items meet customer quality expectations and specifications. Log and communicate quality findings, coordinating with quality engineers and production to resolve open items efficiently. Use digital quality tools and maintenance tracking systems to verify, update, and document inspection status. Assist in troubleshooting discrepancies found by customers, internal teams, or final inspection authorities. Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and tool accountability in active aircraft zones. Support shift handovers, quality review meetings, and out-of-sequence recovery work as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or military aviation maintenance experience preferred. (Required) Minimum 2 years of experience in aircraft manufacturing, assembly, quality inspection, or maintenance support. (Required) Valid A&P license. (Required) Working knowledge of commercial aircraft systems and interiors (electrical, structural, cabin equipment, etc.). (Required) Capable of interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, and inspection criteria. (Required) Proficient using hand tools, basic rework equipment, and inspection documentation systems. (Required) Comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with tight delivery timelines. (Required) Flexible availability for off-shift work, overtime, or weekend support based on production demands. (Required) Experience supporting customer delivery or flightline operations in a commercial aerospace setting. (Preferred) Familiarity with conformity inspection standards and basic regulatory compliance for commercial aircraft (e.g., Part 21/25 environments). (Preferred) Experience using digital quality platforms (e.g., SAP, Solumina, or similar). (Preferred)
